Common Bonds exhibit article in Bham News

There is a nice article about the library's Common Bonds photograph exhibit in the Birmingham News today.

On a wall at the downtown branch of the Birmingham Public Library hangs a small but telling exhibition.
"Common Bonds" it is called, a series of photos snapped in Birmingham between 1900 and 1950.
The library explains the exhibit this way:
"Rather than focusing on issues that have divided the people of Birmingham, this exhibition crosses boundaries of time, gender, class, geography and race to highlight the bonds shared by the people of this community."
It's just a bunch of black-and-white snapshots, really. A sort of Facebook for a time gone by.
But it is more.
