From ABC 33/40: For the first time in 6 years, Birmingham is increasing its schedule of court fees and costs, and that's not all. It will cost you more to park on the street, and more if you over stay your welcome at a parking meter.
The City Council approved the municipal court cost increases citing the new costs are identical with Jefferson County district court, and in line with surrounding cities. Non - traffic misdemeanors will go from $166 to $205. DUI court costs will go from $ 138 to $ 168. The mayor's office says the new revenue will go toward court and jail improvements
Meantime, all parking meters except for 15 minute meters will double in cost, while parking tickets will go from $15 to $30.

DUI sure is cheap.
The court costs are added to the fine you pay, so total costs will be even higher.
