Maurice Gandy, oral historian, author, poet and teacher, will be speaking at the Avondale Library, Tuesday, October 28th at 6:30 p.m. His presentation entitled "Famous Lost Words: Recording and Preserving Oral History" is part of the 2007-2008 Alabama Humanities Road Scholars Program. The Alabama Humanities Foundation is the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
