Great Bham Ministries Desperately in Need of Toys

Greater Birmingham Ministries is badly in need of gifts for children from infants through teenagers.

I was filling gift bags this morning, and before we were done with the families we had, the shelves were nearly bare, and many more needy families remain on the list.

GBM is filling a greater need this year because of the economy, but also because of the economy, their donations are down.

WBHM and other organizations are collecting food, but the toy situation is dire.

Please take unwrapped toys for boys and girls from infants on up and materials too-cool-for-toys teens might like to the corner of 23rd street and 12 Avenue North between the hours of 9 and 4 today through Saturday and 1-4 on Sunday. Last bags will be packed Sunday for distribution Monday.

New clothes in all sizes are also welcome. NOTHING will be wasted--in addition to families signed up for gifts, there is a long waiting list.
