I heard these lyrics today on the radio and it made me think of Norma. With thanks to her.

Leigh -- I think this describes Norma's relationship with each and every one of us. Her compassion and capacity for understanding is what made her unique, and the reason she was so loved and so respected.

It's not a matter of finding something good to say about Norma it's a matter of how to say all the good that was Norma.

It is hard to think about Norma without a smile. Her smile warmed our hearts and never waivered. She is the best and she will be loved in all the stories we share and in the tears we shed. Norma is our guardian angel now.

Norma Blount was the heart of our library. Every employee who entered our system had the pleasure of meeting her at some point during their time at BPL. I'm glad that BPL's welcoming face was so kind and warm. We're a lucky bunch to have had someone so compassionate and wise holding our hands all these years.
