Gaiman's write-up of the situation is interesting in that he lays out more of the actual facts of the case than any of the "real journalists" who I've seen writing about it. This is precisely why blogs are killing traditional news outlets. It should also be noted that Gaiman speaks from the point of view of a writer whose own work is frequently challenged, has actually read The Black Dossier, and is a friend of its author Alan Moore.
