A representative from Reference USA will be in the RLCC on Thursday morning, November 18, 2010 to demonstrate the enhancements that have been made to the database. For those of you unfamiliar with Reference USA, it is a very powerful reference tool that JCLC has been subscribing to for many years. Perhaps its most popular use is a source for directory type information for businesses and residences around the county, but it is capable of providing much more. In the past, I have assisted patrons who were usings it for a variety of reasons including job searching, marketing research, non-profit fundraising, and starting a business.
The presentation will begin at 9 AM and will last about 1.5 h ours. All Jefferson County public library staff are invited to attend. Seating in the RLCC is limited to 40 participants, so please reserve your seat by e-mailing jmurray@bham.lib.al.us. Reservations will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
