Multi-racial Friendship Nomination
Friend (frend) n. 1. A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts. 2. A person whom one knows; an acquaintance. 3. A person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade. 4. One who supports, sympathizes with, or patronizes a group, cause, or movement.
The Birmingham Urban League is accepting nominations for its fourteenth annual Multi-racial Friendship Recognition. The purpose of the recognition is to celebrate those individuals in our community who have grown to understand and appreciate the value of friendships that cross racial lines. The celebration will be held Friday, May 22, 2009, at the Harbert Center. Nomination form and guidelines are available at the Birmingham Urban League's website.
